Sea Salt Flush
The sea salt flush is a popular remedy used to remove toxins from the body. Some people claim it also helps relieve fatigue and aids in losing weight.
Fill a 200 ml glass with warm water. Stir in ½ teaspoon sea salt and two drops lime/lemon juice. You should drink this first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.
Drink 2 glasses every morning for 3 to 5 days. It’s best to drink this on days you will not be going out for at least 5 hours. After 15 to 20 minutes you will be visiting the bathroom to relieve yourself. The visits can last between 1 to 2 hours and sometimes longer. You should do the sea salt water flush once every 2 or 3 months.
Sea Salt Steam
Steam your face once a week with hot sea salt water. This will clear your nasal passages and remove any blockage which leads to phlegm, migraines and colds.
Fill a bowl with 1 ½ teaspoon sea salt. Fill the bowl ½ full with boiling water. Lean over it and inhale the steam. Cover your head and the bowl with a towel to prevent the steam from escaping.
Sea Salt Body Scrub
Sea Salt is a popular body scrub since it gets rid of dead cells and roughness from the skin leaving it soft and supple. Some people also use it to treat skin diseases like psoriasis.
Mix ½ cup sea salt with ¼ cup olive oil. Use this during your shower. Wet the skin and put some of the scrub onto a loofah and apply on the body massaging the areas in circular motions. Rinse off with warm water. Use this scrub once a week.
* Never use table salt in place of sea salt since table salt contains iodine and when consumed in excess amounts is unhealthy for the body.
