Home Remedies for vulvovaginal candidiasis (Yeast Infections)

Yeast infections (also referred to as ‘candidiasis’) is caused by the yeast fungus ‘candida albicans.’

Only certain areas of the body are prone to yeast infections. Such places would be where the skin is always warm and moist such as the mouth, between skin folds and private parts.

The most common type of yeast infection a female gets is vulvovaginal candidiasis. This is a type of yeast infection which infects a woman’s or girl’s vulva causing it to swell up, redden and become itchy.

A person suffering from vulvovaginal candidiasis will also feel a burning sensation when passing urine or during sex.

Females are at risk of getting vulvovaginal candidiasis if they:
  • Wear tight underwear especially ones made of nylon.
  • Wear wet clothes for long periods of time such as a bathing suit.
  • Wear sanitary napkins which are perfumed.
  • Apply strong scented soaps and body washes to their private parts when bathing or showering.
  • Do not wash underwear properly.
  • Do not bathe or shower regularly.
  • Do not dry themselves properly after a shower or bathe.
  • Using birth control pills, antibiotics or steroids.
  • Wiping back to front after using the toilet.

Honey is rich in antiseptic properties and is an ideal treatment for vulvovaginal candidiasis.

Go to the bathroom and sit on the toilet. Take some honey and apply generously on the affected area. Leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse off with warm water. Do this treatment in the morning and at night before going to bed.

Some women peel a garlic clove and insert it into the vagina. If you feel uncomfortable doing this you can take a garlic clove and mince it. Then apply around the vulva. Leave on for an hour and rinse off with warm water. Do this treatment twice a day (morning and evening).

These sachets are ideal to be used in making a face mask that treats rough dry skin hence leaving it soft smooth and supple.
Just take a sachet (about a teaspoon) and pour its contents into a clean bowl. Then stir in 1 tablespoon pure honey. Apply the mixture on face and leave for 15 to 20 minutes. Next rinse off with lukewarm water and a washcloth.

Coffee and honey when used together on skin can help blood circulation plus it absorbs bacteria and dead skin that’s responsible for dry rough skin.

Are you suffering from belly fat?
Have you tried exercising, dieting and even pills but none of them worked?
One reason could be that your liver cells have accumulated too much fat.
When we consume meals having more fat than our body can handle, the extra fat ends up in the liver. This can trigger the appearance of fat in the belly, thighs, arms and legs.
Abdominal fat is one of the hardest to lose. Stubborn abdominal fat must first be loosened before it can be removed from the body.
Two ways this can be done is to sip about 4 glasses of water upon wakening up in the morning and to also drink 2 cups of green tea with ginger slices twice a day.

You should also aim to sip atleast an additional 4 to 6 glasses of water throughout the day. You will be amazed at how much fat gets removed from the body within a short period of time.
Sipping water instead of gulping it down helps to remove toxins in the body in a healthy way.

Gulping down water is a big no no! Google the reason and you will be amaz…
