Homemade Facial Cleansers for Oily Skin

A person suffers from oily skin when an excess amount of the hormone Androgen is secreted. Androgen is necessary to keep our skin healthy but too much of it can cause oily skin leading to blemishes and acne breakouts.

To control oily skin one should use a cleanser on the face to remove excess oil, dirt and grime twice a day (morning and evening). There are a variety of commercial made cleansers in the market to choose from with a number of them being quite expensive.

Some people choose to make their own cleansers since it’s cheaper and usually free of chemicals. Listed below are a few facial cleansers you can make at home.

Apple Honey Cleanser

Mix 2 tablespoons of grated apple with 1 teaspoon honey. Apply on face and leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.

Curd and Honey Cleanser

Mix 2 tablespoons curd with 1 teaspoon honey and apply on face. Leave on face for 15 minutes and rinse off with warm water using a soft washcloth.

Gram Flour and Milk Cleanser

Mix 3 tablespoons gram flour with enough milk to make into a paste. Apply to face and leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse off with warm water using a soft washcloth.

Oatmeal and Egg White Cleanser
