Homemade Facial Packs

Before applying any of the following masks first wash your face with a mild baby soap and warm water to remove dust and grime on the skin.

Spinach and Honey Mask

Take 6 leaves of spinach and put into grinder. Add ½ teaspoons honey and 1 teaspoon lemon juice into it. Grind all ingredients to a paste. Apply on face and neck. Leave on skin for 15 minutes and rinse with warm water.

Oatmeal and Cucumber Mask

Grate ¼ cucumber and place into a bowl. Mix 1 teaspoon oatmeal and 1 teaspoon yogurt with the cucumber. Apply on face and leave for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Cucumber and Avocado Mask

Mix together ½ cup mashed avocado with two tablespoons cucumber juice. Apply on face and leave for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Yogurt and Avocado Mask

Take 1 teaspoon mashed avocado and 1 teaspoon yogurt and mix till smooth and creamy. Apply on face and leave for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

This mask is ideal for dry skin and can also be used on the body.

Coffee Honey Face Mask

Here in Sri lanka certain stores sell Nescafe coffee sachets.
These sachets are ideal to be used in making a face mask that treats rough dry skin hence leaving it soft smooth and supple.
Just take a sachet (about a teaspoon) and pour its contents into a clean bowl. Then stir in 1 tablespoon pure honey. Apply the mixture on face and leave for 15 to 20 minutes. Next rinse off with lukewarm water and a washcloth.

Coffee and honey when used together on skin can help blood circulation plus it absorbs bacteria and dead skin that’s responsible for dry rough skin.
